- As I recall the 3000s ECS chip set is only 16bit, but the CPU can access Chip
- RAM via a 32bit data path.

- I have never claimed that AGA or ECS were great graphics systems - in fact you
- can probably find posts from me bagging these chips big time.. :)
-
- The only way I can see the Amiga getting ahead is by getting chunky graphics.
- I'd like to see AGA kept if only to keep the Amiga scrolling games we like so
- much, but I can't do anything without a chunky display.

-
- I'd take issue with that (but knowing me, that's not so surprising). Mono
- works well with a Mac. Have you tried it? The Mac actually has a pretty good
- graphics system - if you have only 2 colours, programs use alternate icons,
- etc to keep things legible. All Mac application software runs perfectly
- happily in monochrome - witness the thousands of old mono Macs and Powerbooks
- used by journalists every day.
-
- Admittedly, games *require* 256 colours, and that's why I'm searching out a
- GFX card. Of course, a Pentium is looking more appealing every day... hurry
- up AT, and give me some evidence you're not just taking the Amiga community
- for every penny you can get.
